Bookings now open for 2025 Brewarrina Blizzard

May 19, 2025 – Brewarrina Shire Council is thrilled to announce session bookings are now open for the hugely anticipated third annual Brewarrina Blizzard, which transforms downtown Brewarrina into a winter wonderland with free* ice skating, snow play area, food trucks and more.

This year, the event will be open daily from 10am to 8pm, from Monday July 7 to Sunday July 13. Skate sessions run every hour, with attendees able to prebook their sessions online from 123tix.com.au, or available on the door, until sold out. Skates and penguin skate aids are also included.

Tickets for the ice-skating sessions are free, but online booking fees apply. 

Brewarrina Shire Council General Manager David Kirby said it was important the annual celebration that brings the community together, and promotes tourism to the region, remained free.

“The Brewarrina Blizzard is a fully Council funded and backed community event that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, can enjoy. This inclusivity is vital for fostering a sense of community and belonging, allowing people from all backgrounds to come together and enjoy the festivities without the barrier of cost,” said Mr Kirby.

“Keeping the Brewarrina Blizzard event free is not just beneficial but essential for promoting inclusivity, boosting the local economy, and enhancing community well-being. By prioritising accessibility, we can ensure that this beloved event continues to thrive, bring joy to all who attend and offer an experience not usually available in this part of the country.”
