Brewarrina Shire Council is inviting people from across the region who are looking to start or change their career to join them at the 2025 Brewarrina Community Careers Expo.

Happening on Tuesday July 29 at the Brewarrina Community Hall, the event is open to people of all ages, from school leavers through to mature age adults and is set to showcase a range of different employment, training and study opportunities.

Attendees will have the chance to connect with potential employers and learn more about various study, employment, training and career development prospects.

This is a unique chance for individuals from the Brewarrina, Bourke and Walgett Shires and beyond, to engage with businesses, education institutions, and training providers eager to contribute to the community’s growth and prosperity.

Brewarrina Shire Council General Manager David Kirby said the event is a fantastic way for individuals and organisations to connect.

“This vibrant event aims to promote local opportunities, showcasing a wide array of training providers and offering valuable information on industry-specific employment, training and higher education pathways. Whether you’re a school leaver, student, mature adult, or simply interested in exploring new career horizons, the expo is designed for you,” said Mr Kirby.

“Open to all, we are encouraging anyone interested in coming along from our neighbouring shires of Walgett and Bourke to join us as well. We are proud of the incredible talents and potential within our area and are pleased to be offering the opportunity to connect with everyone interested in advancing their careers.

“We already have over a dozen exhibitors confirmed including universities, Council and key service providers like the NSW Ambulance, Police, and Fire and Rescue.

“If you are business, education institution, or training provider interested in participating we encourage you to get involved. It’s a great opportunity to connect directly with the future workforce of our region.
