Under Section 360 of the Local Government Act 1993, councils are required to adopt a Code of Meeting Practice that governs the conduct of Council and committee meetings. In 2025, the NSW Office of Local Government introduced a new Model Code of Meeting Practice to enhance transparency, integrity and consistency across all NSW councils.
Brewarrina Council’s draft Code of Meeting Practice incorporating these updates is on Public Exhibition until November 27, 2025. The Policy can be viewed on HERE or in Council’s Offices at 57 Bathurst Street.
The community is invited to review and provide feedback on the draft document.
