Tuesday September 30 – Thursday October 2, 2025

RSPCA NSW and the University of Sydney will be working with Brewarrina Shire Council to visit households in Brewarrina to learn more about the dog and cat populations in the community.

These household visits are part of a project that aims to improve access to veterinary services and help manage the number of free-roaming dogs and cats, while also protecting our native wildlife.

What you need to know:

• Survey teams will be visiting homes on Tuesday September 30, Wednesday October 1 and Thursday October 2.
• You may be invited to take part in a short survey about the dogs and cats in your household.
• The survey is completely voluntary and confidential.
• It will take around 10-20 minutes if you have pets, or less than five minutes if you don’t.
• Households that participate will receive a free flea and tick treatment for their dogs and/or cats (up to four per household).
