Western Local Lands Services is coordinating a survey to determine the presence, spread and density of four priority weeds in the Far West, with the findings to assist in the planning of on-ground weed control works and future initiatives.
The four priority weeds are:
Hudson Pear (Cylindropuntia pallida)
Jumping Cholla (Cylindropuntia fulgida)
Boxing Glove Cactus (Cylindropuntia fulgida var. mamillata)
Mesquite (Prosopis)
As part of the survey, the LLS will be contacting landholders via phone and undertaking on-ground inspections.
An online survey is also available for landholders to complete, which will also be followed up with a phone call. Complete the survey HERE.
